hey i am going to be putting my new engine in this weekend and a going to be putting twin SU's carbs on.

but apparently you can not buy the brackets for K engines so i got told that i will have to build a bracket to conect the acc cable to the carbs.

if you have SU's can you please send in a pic of you brackets so i got a rough idea how to make 1 for my SU's

or even better and diagrams

thanks heaps Myles

yes i mean how the cable is secured to the SU's normally you have to make a bracket but with the pic you send there is no bracket??

and yes you can get a bracket in Google type in SU's and there is a place that makes them thanks Myles.

the outa coating of the cable is attaches to a steel bracket wich is connected to the block but the actual cable that hooks to the carbs has a a small bolt that you tighten that sqaushes the cable tightly to the bracket on the su ...ill try and draw sumthin up for you to show you what i mean

sorry bout the headache lol

You do need a bracket like the one you've pictured. It's designed to have a vertical shaft clipped onto the ball. Otherwise you might be able to modify the cable wheel off an old carb. It will take a bit of messing around, but you could probably mount it on the end of either carb so you don't have to muck with that centre linkage.
