mattress Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 (edited) I bought this Johnson brand twin brake master cylinder setup to suit my KE10. As i'm not that mechanically inclined can anyone tell me what the fittings are under the brake line fittings? I'm thinking maybe an electrical switch to show low fluid or brake failure or whatever....? Any help or discussion is appreciated... Thanks, Matt.... Edited November 1, 2008 by mattress Quote
philbey Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 They're sensors, the little brass bits poking out will take a standard 6.35mm spade connector. Given that there is 2 of them, they are probably just conductive sensors that trigger when the fluid runs out. Nice bit of gear, what did you pay for it? Quote
mattress Posted November 1, 2008 Author Report Posted November 1, 2008 Yeah i figured as much but wasn't really sure. I'm told it fits without mods, so here's hoping. Thanks, i payed $120 delivered from the states which i thought was fairly reasonable... Quote
phife Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 Do you have any further details or links? Looks interesting..... Quote

mattress Posted November 3, 2008 Author Report Posted November 3, 2008 (edited) I don't really know much about it. I got it off ebay from a guy who sells old stock by the name of 'europarts4auction'. Here's some pics of the box if you wanna do some chasing up. Edited November 3, 2008 by mattress Quote
Davros El Davros Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Hey Matt, Thats a nice find - looks like exactly the type of thing I am after to suit my KE10 - 4AGE conversion. If it's not too much trouble, would you be able to quickly measure the overall distance of the unit, from the brass cap at the front to the firewall mounting face at the rear? I currently have a certain amount of clearance to my intake plenum that I would like to squeeze a tandem master cylinder into and if this one fits I will hunt one down.. Thanks in advance Davros Quote
mattress Posted November 3, 2008 Author Report Posted November 3, 2008 Davros, not too much trouble at all. I hope the pics are sufficient but if not from front to firewall mount is 14.5cm and from the left to the brass nut is 7.5cm. Also from the clip on top to the lowest point being the electrical fittings is 12cm. If you need anything else just give me a yell... Quote
Davros El Davros Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Thanks heaps for the quick reply. I'll rip over and check the measurements with my engine bay tomorrow and then try and get a hold of one of it will fit. Good luck with your brake upgrades |blink| Quote
26rolla Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 hey davros are you putting an injected 4age into yours? I'm putting a 4age with side drafts in mine and the space is verry limited I'm having to make up a pedal box Quote
phife Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 I take it this is the one... Ebay link Thanks for the info! Gives us something to look into, there's definitely not alot of room left for the brake master once a 4AG is in place! Quote
mattress Posted November 4, 2008 Author Report Posted November 4, 2008 Yes, that looks like it. Mine was an auction though, not 'buy it now'..... Quote
