Queen20v Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 don't think so :jamie: Hah hah, missed that bit about the colour. :D Quote
Queen20v Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 TE278U, are they all in Australia? Quote
Hurricane Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 most of them looked like LHD? well if it is a real te27 you would be a fool not to get it, but even more of a fool not to let me get it :jamie: Quote
ke20red Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 (edited) PICS... i think hes a time waster mate :D I think we could all be millionares :D if we placed bets that it doesnt exist and you got your wires crossed.. :jamie: Edited November 3, 2008 by ke20red Quote
KEhendo Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 i was talking to a guy that used to race the te27's at bathurst and he says he has the only genuine one in the country. he knows it genuine because when the toyota team went to the te37 he bought the car. i'd say this is a mock-up. but if not and this is genuine, PICSORBAN! Redwarf Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 In that case there's two, as Al Palmer's is the real deal as well (as personally sighted by me :jamie:), although his is not ADM. Quote
KEhendo Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 this one is owned my greville arnel. he was one of the factory drivers. the car was imported in to australia in 1972 so it has basically been here it's whole life. he also has a ke15 and ke17 sprinters. i'm currently trying to weasel my way in to see his collection. godlovesugly Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 ive got a mate who has started importing old US cars to sell in Australia, mainly impalas etc but he can get anything. what do you think people would pay for a good condition TE27?? and what other US toyotas would people be willing to buy?? Quote
Jono Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 the JDM ones would be worth a fair bit so some people, the USDM probably not that much. Quote
TE278U Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 TE278U, are they all in Australia? i think they're all o/seas. mostly off nostalgic car magazine website. USDM modded to look like JDM. i have hundreds of te27 pics on my computer that i've napped off google image. |blink| -dave Quote
parrot Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 I would be fairly sceptical that whatever you are being offered is genuine. There are a few people about building replicas / close copies sourcing parts from overseas. Not hard to chuck a 2TG into a KE25, bit harder to do it factory though. Quote
Redwarf Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 I resemble that remark. |blink| I'd be wanting to see the chassis number. Quote
Hurricane Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 i was talking to a guy that used to race the te27's at bathurst and he says he has the only genuine one in the country. he knows it genuine because when the toyota team went to the te37 he bought the car. i'd say this is a mock-up. but if not and this is genuine, PICSORBAN! i know of some one with a genuine te27 so ^^^^that one can't be the only one. benhachi Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 There was a green one here in Australia for 21k recently, not sure but I think it was a rhd one. Quote
parrot Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 This is Al Palmer's car palmer 1001.pdf Other than this one, there is one other in Melbourne that gets out pretty regularly. There was also another created from a halfcut many years ago in Victoria, but I have no idea what happened to that car. Possibly that is masquerading as a genuine car. Kehendo: just saw your post above nearly 3 years late. If you manage to arrange this, make sure I'm there too! Quote
