Webber On K Motor Manifold

ok prety newbie question here but, ive got a weber and adapter plate

and the studs that come through the adapter plate, the ones still in the manifold, they don't quite line up with the holes in the weber

 

is about a mill to close together for the holes in the weber

 

would i be safe just to drill the weber holes out a tiny bit, or is this a bad idea?

can't see why, even even drilled holes on my manifold :)
