I have a strange gearbox.. it doesn't fit any K, T or A engine..

it's a 4 speed gearbox.. with the clutch and starter at the same side..

the speedometrewire is on the *wrong* side..

the bellhousing and gearbox is 1 piece.. like the K40/K50

and a normal gearstick doesn't fit, completely different.. and I'm not sure, maybe it isn't a toyota gearbox?

those don't look like any corolla output shaft or gear shifter retainer i've seen. is it cable or hydro? give it a clean with degreaser and a hand wire brush and see of there's any markings on it, every corolla gearbox i've seen has the japanese "TEP" on it somewhere

i have the same ratchet handle as you :D

hmm.. I wonder what it really is

the guy I got it from told me it was from a ke70 van with leaf springs at the rear axle and 4k engine..

but it doesn't fit 4k engines do it? doesn't look like that..

I was under the assumption that all Toyota transmissions had markings on them indicating exactly which transmission it is (eg. T40, T50, W58, etc). This was just an assumption, I haven't really had much chance to check any transmissions out (I'm only a first year apprentice, I don't touch cars, I mop).
