with all these conversions and and engine swapping, with 4K*'s to 4A*'s and 2A*'s to 4A*'s with ease; Can I swap a 4K-c with a 2A in a AE80? In theory? Could I swap the engines over, with a little work? or is that just inconceivable? just a small question since i have a reasonably good 4K-c sitting in a KE70, and when I kill the 2A I was hoping I could just swap it over.

... or how about a 2A in a ke70? :lolcry:

No K motors came out FWD. Even if it did bolt up, which it doesn't, the extractors wouldn't point the right way. Cheapest upgrade would be a 4AFE from a mid 90's corolla. 4AGE's go for a fair bit more.

a 4afe would still need all the conversion gear (gearbox, pedalbox and stuff like that) to a 4age. and a 4age would be alot better, and money well spent.

a 2a,.... how many cc is that?

i really doubt its worth it, would probs be hardly an upgrade from a 4k.

check this out it has everything and anything about all toyota motors

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Toyota_engines

and it tells you how all the engines codes and stuff

also, most states don't allow you to fit an older engine into a newer car - thus any k series engine, unless its out of a liteace, or something similar, won't be able to be registered with a AE71 and up...
