Got some fitting to suit and plumbed it into my rear brake line, fair bit of mucking around to get it mounted (had to remove the fuel tank so i didnt drill through it while mounting it) but I'm very happy with how it turned out. Its tucked away and has tired up my rear brake line nicely as it wasnt the best before due to the different solid lines on the hilux diff. Ill grab a pic tomorow, just ran out of light today.

Looking good, when you get a change with daylight i'm interested to see how the car sits with all the gear in.

What's the current spring rate in the front at the moment??

New vs old leaf springs

I'm halfway through putting them in (ran out of light) hence why the car is sitting how it is.

Looks familiar :bash:

how you go getting them in? Assume they're both in now?

yeh got them in fine, bit harder to put the new ones in cos they were alot heavier than the standard ones. Havent dropped it back onto its wheels yet cos i still need to bleed the brakes.

so the rear end sits about an inch higher at the back and a metric arse load stiffer. Extra height gives me a heap more clearance for the diff, but makes the car sit higher in the rear compared to the front.

Front ends coming back out today and will hopefully be back together by next weekend. Then i just have to wait for workshop space

did you end up cutting any sections out for the diff centre to sit ?
didnt see the need to. The diff dented the floor up about 1/2 inch from hitting on hard launches/changes with the old leafs in and with the car now sitting a little higher i have about 2 inches of travel. Plus the rear end is nice and stiff now, i very much doubt it will even hit anymore.

so ive gone a bit overkill ? haha

nah i wouldnt say so

if you want to go any lower than standard, which i assume you do, there is a need.

Ryan- yeah I'm sure they will a little, i havnt moved the car yet since dropping it back on its wheels so id say it'll will settle somewhat. But it wouldnt surprise me if it didnt because it is STIFF (just how i want it ;) )

just waiting on my new front springs to be made, thanks go to Ryan/SLO-030 again for helping me out with them. Got custom made 6kg ones : )

Ive been busy with exams (and still am for another week or so) so havent touched the car since pulling the front struts out, so more progress once exams are over.

Daily will be receiving some mods as well....... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=31456#entry353534
