13BT_KE20 Posted February 9, 2009 Author Report Posted February 9, 2009 sorry but the diff looks a little odd to me. Ive had to panel beat my floor near the diff housing to give me clearence. How bad does it bounce ?no need to be sorry mate, its not your car, ive build it for me and nobody else. Havent really driven it far enough yet to know, but something will definitely need to be done about it. The stiffer leaf springs should help though Quote
Budowski Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 i think ive seen in my rally prep book for MK1-2 escorts the upper section of the floor pan above the diff gets cut out and a box get welded in a little higher Quote
oke020 Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Hey mate can't really find pics, but can sort of see whats done to mine to give a bit more diff clearance. Quote

Cheers, Ben. bought it in the group buy that was run through rollaclub a while ago (about 6 months ago i think it was). Group buy of about 10 from memory, made in the US. 13BT_KE20 Posted February 17, 2009 Author Report Posted February 17, 2009 Hey did you end up fitting up your speco fuel gauge? need to sort something out using a broom stick to check fuel level gets old fast.not yet mate, been having a few problems with the brakes, keep loosing pressure. Pretty sure ive fixed it now, just need to bleed the brakes again (for the 4th time in less than a week :bash: ) Ill take it for a quick spin to test the brakes, if there all good ill drive to the workshop tonight and roll the guards. Stereo and fuel guage will be done shortly after. As for checking the fuel, ill i do is fill up the tank before going for a drive  Quote

13BT_KE20 Posted February 23, 2009 Author Report Posted February 23, 2009 today i got new 1/2 inch wheel studs put in the rear and new wheel nuts. Old ones for fairly trashed and the old wheel nuts where HUGE and stuck out too far. Also got the guards rolled, no more scrubbing. Brakes are all good too. My adjustable strut tops arrived last week, so they will be going in along with new shocks and springs. Ryan/SLO-030 ill more than likely be hitting you up to get the springs made at your work. Quote
Jason KE30 Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 Wheel studs are fairly expensive arn't they?? Like $10 a pop?? Quote
13BT_KE20 Posted February 24, 2009 Author Report Posted February 24, 2009 (edited) Wheel studs are fairly expensive arn't they??Like $10 a pop?? new studs and nuts plus labour (which i got cheap because i know the guys and paid cash) was $165, rolling the guards came at addition cost :hmm: EDIT: i got the workshop to do it because it was just easier, dropped it off in the morning, walked 10 mins to work and simply went to pick it up after work. Worked out better anyway, i earnt more in the time it would of taken me to do it than it cost for the boys a the shop to do it plus i didnt have to get dirty lol Edited February 24, 2009 by 13BT_KE20 Quote
StasIII Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 can you please take a pic of the guards rolled.! thanks Quote
