ivo rolla Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Hey ya, I'm just wondering would a straight six rb30 out of a commodore VL fit in a Toyota corona 1984 model? Its a project Ive had in mind , just wondering about size etc. i know about changing engine mounts etc, just wondering by diameter would it fit? also thinking of turbo later on after the conversion is done. cheerz Quote
trav_555 Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 theres a lot more than just putting the engine in man, especially one that different have a think about it, dash cluster, efi, gearbox mounts tailshaft to name like 1% have a long hard think man Travis Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 It would likely fit, 2jzgtte are down to 2500 for a half cut, perhaps a more worthwhile option? Quote
ivo rolla Posted October 21, 2008 Author Report Posted October 21, 2008 yeah, ive had heaps of diff ideas of engines, sr20 ca18 4agte 1jz. will consider the 2jzgtte, but tomorrow or the next day i will be taking measurements cheers, Quote
gavin Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 one thing... why would you put an engine in a car like that anyway... if it did fit it would be pretty squishy in there anyway... Quote
irokin Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Just FYI Toyota doesn't use multiple letters to designate multiple turbos. Quote
Trev Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Just FYI Toyota doesn't use multiple letters to designate multiple turbos. Yes but with all the people convertion to big singles its sometimes more appropriate to do so. Quote
