Mybowlcut Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 Hey. I got some T18 bumpers off white_sandshoe (AKA Garnett) to fit to my KE70. We got the front ones on alright (with a bit of hammering) but the back ones are a completely different setup apparently, and they won't bolt straight on... Are they supposed to bolt more or less straight on? From the pictures I've seen of T18 bumpers on KE70s, they look as if they fit quite well, but no one ever mentions any mods they had to do so we're unsure... Cheers. Quote
beerhead Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 You'll have to hack up your KE70 rear bracket and cut and shut to get it to fit. Will need access to a welder to do the job. Quote

adam-__- Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 (edited) With everyone I've seen who's got the T18 bars on, they've all had to modify quite a bit to get the rear bars to fit. The KE70 brackets stick out heaps far. Garnett said we should cut it up to fit and it looks like he was spot on. :yes: Quote

Rear...thats another story heres how i did it just hacked up a stocko bumper (the metal part) and then drilled a few holes the main problem is that the metal one will make the bumper too low think? so you gota weld the brackets a bit lower to get the required height been a while since i did it, but its not to bad, just get happy with your angle grinder and welder. theres some more pics in my thread here http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=14411 hope this helps :lol: Quote

Nor shortening the bracket from the other end, then welding the bit that you'd otherwise bolt, but higher??? Interesting, but not what i'd consider the easiest and overall neatest result... Shall we do a step by step of our method? Just remind me to measure it up properly before we go a-cutting... Quote
