KE555k Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 Hi Guys, I've got a pair of RS2000 Escort Buckets, in my KE55, obviously they have rails to suit because its a direct boltin, just checking, will these rails bolt upto my KE35 without modding anything? Thanks, Quote
WinKE55 Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 KE35 and KE55 same thing. Both seat rails are the same from each other as far as I am concerned. KE55 seat rails are the same as KE35 seat rails. Quote
JiP Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 The rails are the same from the floor mounting perspective but as I found out today the part the mounts to the seat differs. Quote
dfunkt Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 from what i've done over the last 12 months: bought ke30 2dr sedan seats, installed in a ke55 hardtop using the ke30 2dr sedan rails. bought early ke70 seats, wouldn't bolt to the ke30/55 4dr sedan rails. installed into a ke20 using ke20 rails. if your ke55 is a hardtop, then they will bolt straight into the ke35, as the mounts are the same. if your ke55 is a sedan, then they will not bolt in directly to the ke35. cheers dF Quote
Taz_Rx Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 The rails are the same from the floor mounting perspective but as I found out today the part the mounts to the seat differs. ....and wouldn't that be bacause 2 door or coupe seats need to flip forward to get access to the back seat!! :laff: Quote
JiP Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 No, I had early KE30 seats and late KE30 seats. The car in question is my panel van and the early seats that I got didn't come with rails. So I was hoping just to reuse the old ones. The under side of the seats are different. Quote
KE555k Posted October 24, 2008 Author Report Posted October 24, 2008 dfunkt, wrong. haha. Just pulled them out and they bolted straight into the KE35, the backs a tiny bit harder to get into but not impossible :lolcry: Quote
