Are they hs4 Su's?

It looks as though everything is there it's just that the other SU's you saw have custom linkages, much like mine, probably due to the linkages hitting on the manifold.

We have basically the same linkage set-up as the pic you found on my SU's, sourcing all those linkage parts is the hard thing. You have to know who to talk to, as a lot of people can't be stuffed.

Anyway, I thought I'd post up some informative pics of my carbs... they may help, they may not.

Oh yeah, and before you put them on, make sure there is no play in the throttle shafts! We have to take my carbs apart soon to get the throttle shafts rebushed, we thought the manifold was uneven or something and it was letting air in and leaning the mixture off. But after f@$king around with gaskets and silicone and stuff we figure it out. Just the heads up anyway...

Enjoy!

you can buy new throttle shafts, and have the actual carb bodies bushed with poly bushing if you want.

Make sure that the butterflys will seal completely in the inlet, as they have a tendancy to wear aswell.

Other points to take note of, are the piston springs, (remove cap, they are above the piston)

They can be worn out and not work correctly.

It is worth spending a couple hundred dollars on getting them kitted up and ready to go. All parts can be purchased brand new.

Not a corolla, but triple SUs on my torana.

They make a few different linkage kits for these things, Might be worth contacting someone who deals in Redline performance (lynx) gear.

even if you get a linkage kit for triple carbs, its not too much work to adapt it.

I hacked up a linkage kit and made it swing the other way to hide it all under the carbys.

Check out www.sumidel.com.

I think their rebuild kits are about 40 bucks each, and they have lots of gear. I spoke to the bloke on the phone in the past, very easy to deal with.
