towe001 Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 Yeah i like using fastway, no need to have to fill out paper work its all on the sticker. Couriers Please are so-so, just have to make a phone call. When we call the CP guy all we get is "Yeah" and then dead silence..... But like coln72 said try with the locals and ask them about interstate. Could also try the railway. We deal with Queensland Rail from time to time. Depending on what we've got QR either picks up or we just our delivery driver to drop the stuff off. Quote
kangaroosa Posted October 24, 2008 Author Report Posted October 24, 2008 Just an Update for those in the same boat as me. The only company out of the ones mentioned previously that would entertain me, even though I don't have an account with them was "TasFreight". I called the Melbourne office, who then asked me to call the Tassy office. The bloke there was a bit perplexed why they directed me to him, but he was actaully quite obliging and very helpful. The prices were quoted on a 1200mm x 1200mm x 600mm High Pallet, and 100kgs in weight. It is forked onto their truck upon pickup and forked off on delivery. QLD 4159 to Melbourne 3205 - $187 +GST NSW 2209 to Melbourne 3205 - $114 +GST Very reasonable prices in my opinion. Quote
