no more progress yet was doing the top of dash and pushed to hard and broke it waiting to find another one.

was that the part above the speedo, they seem to warp bad even with a dash mat. rest of the Car looking good keep up the good work. :y:

got a new dashtop but will wait till finished before i put up pics but finally got hold of the grille i wanted.

Edit: Nice! i wanted to get that buy wouldnt fit. 7mm too wide.

I went to the wreckers and took a grill off one car and put it on another and it was too big. Maybe your grill is different. I have the black horizontal venetian look grill.

Hi Wayne, good work on finding the new grill, it looks much less fussy, are you going to paint it white to match the bumpers?. Johno, your'e Seca and my Hatch are series 1, made in 1985/86. Waynes model is the series 2 made from late 1986/89 that has a different grill and headlight setup. And as you said the series 2 grill is larger than the series 1, and does need pursuading to fit.

Unless you really like sanding till your fingers bleed or spending 5k+ on a respray I wouldn't do it. Painting it same colour would be alright, just not a full colour change. Its a HUGE pain the the ass. Trust me... :)

johno if i do a lot of sanding i buy a cheap pair of gloves i know what you mean about fingers bleeding i used to do fibreglassing when i was younger.
