Hi Wayne welcome and good work on the interior of the seca. I was unaware that you could get extractors made up for a 4AC fwd mounted engine. Do you have any photos of these extractors on the car at the moment.

Thanks for taking those photos, were these extractors custom made, as they look preety good and is all the emissions gear hooked back up to the extractors? Apart from not idling properly, how does the car perform in general, is it more responsive during accelaration.

got the extractors from profix all emissions are hooked up when i took it to carbie tune they said because it has extractors the fuel mixture has to be changed but to do that the carbie has to come off plus i think it will be better if i get two inch exhaust right thru because between cat and muffler exhuast is still original.

My old GZE/GTE project AE82 had extractors on the 4ac which went away with the engine, They are very rare and cost a fair bit.

Sounds more like an air leak, have a look at the manifold bolts could either be loose or missing at least one. Or the manifold gasket is stuffed. Extractors do help to make the motor breath better but not that much to send the carby that far out of wack.

That dash looks sweet, I know how you like to sand things totally flat to make em look shiny and it really shows with your dash, keep up the good work mate.

Any more progress? Did you sort out the idle problems?
