4age is looking a hell of a lot cheaper than messing around with k motors

though k motors do have a nice sound, power and revs are the limiting factor

I'm not out for over all power. i am doing it to be different really and would love to having a wickedlly cool k motor that will pull stupid rpm ;D. the thing you got to remember is the motor is going into a kp starlet and onlys weights like 650/800kgs and anything better than the factory 2k motor is blisteringly fast haha. if i was going for over all power i would convert to 13Btas we can do so over here in NZ and have it legal on the road with out worrying bout the :) as long as it is certifyed.

true, though 3k's with there shorter stroke are a fair bit more reliable at higher rpm than a 4/5k

love to see pics when you do it though

and what i would do for a kp starlet...

haha yea trust me i would love to have myself a starlet cup car . or just the 3k-r.

my thing should be reliable enough to stay a daily driver once it is done we are not going stupidly overboard but everything is going to be done propperly

once i have some more bits and pieces sorted and have started to mock stuff up ill post pics in my project thread.

i have had a flange gaskit lazer cut to mount the quads onto (only NZ$40 I'm happy as with that conciddering the other place i went to quoted me $250-$300 to do the same thing) i have not had much progress of late with this whole new project due to 2 lots of cancer in the family(1 in each mum and dads side) and the 2nd resulting in death just last wedenday :P. as soon as i have a little bit more done ill get some pics up for you guys to have a look at.
