rwdrolla Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 (edited) ok, an argument has just started with my canadian buddy when u have shiny new bling rims, u put tyres on them therefore u have new wheels so.. wheels = Rims+Tyres correct? or are wheels= rims? cos i said i'm getting new rims, and he's like "oh, so ur getting new wheels" help me settle this. Super Jamie Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 there is no solid definition. "i'm getting new wheels" and "i'm getting new rims" could be the same thing, or they're different. some people even consider "wheels" to be the whole car; "man, nice wheels you have there" Quote
rjenman Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 yeah i'd be inclined to say wheels with tyres on are still wheels and whels with tyres off are wheels and same goes for rims, theyre always rims. If you go around calling them rims or wheels you will not get corrected unless the person correcting u is being a twat Quote
