W55/6/7/8 Gearbox Crossmember

Hey all,

 

After compatible and readily avaliable crossmembers that will allow me to bolt up my w series gearbos to my ke35.

 

All help appreciated.

yep, ONLY the 5 spd from a ke70 has the "4 bolt wedge" mounting you need.

All other k40/50 have the 1 bolt, and the wedge is 90o around the other way.

Put up a WTB, lots of people on the forum swap out the KE70 gear for the AE71 stuff, has to be someone who kept theirs for a rainy day.

thats just 50 x 50 x 3mm mild steel angle drilled to the bolt holes on the chassis

 

then a bit of angle across the bottom, can't remember size, with the holes drilled in the right spot, then just some braces welded to hold it all together.

 

never let me down, but I'm sure it could be better, like everything on that car

hey thanks guys, Ive found one from a ke70 5speed k50. ill post up later if it doesnt fit.

 

in regards to custom, I want it now, spend as little as possible, and when I do get pulled over which will happen, Id rather it look stock than stick out like dogs balls

box tube cut out and drilled for mount.

 

angle for bolt up. tack in position. remove then fully weld
