oze_idiot Posted September 27, 2008 Report Posted September 27, 2008 Has anyone managed to change their fuel filter yet, i've bought a replacement to put in but cannot for the life of me get the old one out. its mounted in an awkward position on the firewall and theres barely enough room for my hands, let alone tools. i found a repair manual, and it doesnt mention anywhere in the schedualed servicing that it has to be replaced. So atm the new fuel filter is just sitting in the glove box, waiting til i have to get something mechanical done, then ill just give it to the mechanic to put in. Quote

It should be in the same place as the 102 one, therefore it's easiest if you take the airbox/intake and charcoal canister off, and also try working through the front left wheel-well (obviously take the wheel off before you do this. oze_idiot Posted September 29, 2008 Author Report Posted September 29, 2008 Thanks for the help, i might have a crack at it in the near future. the 1st time i had a go at it i didn't really know what i was doing and basically rushed in head first, but now i have the teardown manual and a better understanding of what i need to do. So, fingers crossed. Quote
