anastasios Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 where do u get those parts from? is that for a 2k? Quote
SeptemberSquall Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 where do u get those parts from? is that for a 2k? no, it refers to the displacement a number of times, which is standard 3K displacement in round terms: 2K - 1000cc 3K - 1200cc Quote
OniBerserker Posted September 23, 2008 Author Report Posted September 23, 2008 (edited) where do u get those parts from? is that for a 2k? um, good luck with the parts. it says that parts with "O" indicates genuine parts. and i think its for a 3k 1166cc engine -fixed man i need more sleep Edited September 26, 2008 by OniBerserker Quote
towe001 Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 the "K" motor is 1077cc The manual is for a 3K (1166cc) basically bored out to 1293cc running on its standard 66mm stroke. Equals high rev motor Quote
camerondownunder88 Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Good luck trying to find the TRD pistons..LOL UMM RARE AS. Also a lot in this motor changes eg: The cam shaft GETS WAY bigger bearings and is a larger shaft so not easy also the cam is driven through a set of gears not a chain. so hard to build this motor to spec form. towe001 Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Either way its still an interesting read and interesting possibilities Quote
trd Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Check out the rest of Mike's site, he's got a kp61 rally car fitted with a 5K uprite, some really good pic's of the engine build. Quote
philbey Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 ...also the cam is driven through a set of gears not a chain. how many gears cam? 2 or 3? I like that pulley driven oil cooler pump, thats a cool little bit of gear! Quote
OniBerserker Posted September 26, 2008 Author Report Posted September 26, 2008 is this enough info for a cam to be reground to specs? Quote
towe001 Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 how many gears cam? 2 or 3? I like that pulley driven oil cooler pump, thats a cool little bit of gear! Going by a gear driven v8 it'd be a minimum of three. Do a google for "gear drive v8" http://www.jp.com.au/GearDrives.html Quote
