JiP Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 Went to the wreckers today with Wink and took some pics of some interesting wrecks.... [CAUTION] People have most likely died in these wrecks... Spotted this car at a wrecker near me and at first couldn't realise what type of car it was. Can anyone else?? This is the towbar... still attached. Looks like it was carrying a boat... and look at what position its in :o Was at another wrecker and spotted this Festiva. Looks like it hit a pole at a very high speed. Normally Festiva's keep their shape inside the cabin, this one didn't. Can anyone guess what speed?? Seems that the speedo stopped at the exact speed. I'll post the pic after we've had a few guesses :y: Quote
WinKE55 Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 Hahaha. This should get interesting. Quote
7shades Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 First one is a Subaru Forester Any faster than 120 and that Festiva would have been even less recognisable Quote
love ke70 Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 First one is a Subaru Forester Any faster than 120 and that Festiva would have been even less recognisable while it doesnt have the obligatory chromies or fully sick lowering usually associated with forester GT I'm still hoping it is infact a forester GT, as it would be one less cock on the road :y: Quote
JiP Posted September 21, 2008 Author Report Posted September 21, 2008 This is from my own private Crash Collection... I was doing 70 at impact. I locked up the brakes in the wet and slid into a Torago. If I knew what I know now I might have saved it. The interior was all in shape tho. Quote
7shades Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 Moral of the story: Festivas crash about as well as they drive. Badly. Quote
7shades Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 Broadly speaking yes, but more specifically, Festivas. :y: Quote
Teddy Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 Festiva - between 70 to 85 kms That first small 4x4 car.. wow, i can't even work that out. Its bad. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 while it doesnt have the obligatory chromies or fully sick lowering usually associated with forester GT I'm still hoping it is infact a forester GT, as it would be one less cock on the road :bash: Its not as you can see there is a platic air box where the TMIC should be. :o Okay, try 179km/h Wanker....at that speed in that car he deserved to die! :y: Quote
coln72 Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Based on the damage the missus did to hers (approx $4000) at 25 odd km/h Id say about 80 to 90... Quote
coln72 Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 oops should of read all the posts. Didn't think you could get a Festy up to that speed.......... The wifes sounded pretty scary at 140km/h and it was the big block :y: Quote
