madaz4 Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 Hi All, Thought I should at least introduce myself on here, I have been lurking for a while. I currently own a KE20, a shitty AE92 and a 2007 Levin ZR. Recently after a canary I decided to sell my RX7 and have just purchased Jono's KE20 4AGTE which is on it's way to sunny Adelaide as I type. I've been actively involved in the SARotors car club for the last 5 or so years, and enjoy competing in Modern Regularity out @ Malalla whenever I get the chance (not much over the last two years anyway.) Not much of a drifter (even though my last car was something of a drift pig) but looking forward to catching up with some fellow rolla heads on the next cruise. Cheers, Adrian Quote
benzo Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 How ya doin Adrian? I'm also on SA Rotors but I'm the opposite lol been more regular here. Congrats on buying Jono's KE20, thought it might've been that one you were buying. Best colour too. What are your plans for it? Whats your other KE20? Is that the one you were going to do up before you found Jono's? Cheers, Ben. Quote
Doogs Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 Welcome mate, Well done on picking up Jono's car, will be a packet of fun. As Ben has asked what are your future plans ? And do you have some pics of your other Ke20 ? Cheers, Dougal Quote

And do you have some pics of your other Ke20 ? Cheers, Dougal Getting Jono's car through regency is priority # 1, then it'll take over as a daily/track car so I can sell off the other cars I have taking up space at the moment. I intend to leave jon's car as is for the time being, only mods I'm thinking of at the moment is a half cage and a re-spray, as the rest of the car is pretty much there. My old KE is complete minus motor. I decided not to go any further with it after I pulled the 4k out of it to discover a hole in the chassis rail, it's not that bad at all but with time not being in abundant suppy for me, I decided to buy something already done than pursevere. I'll get some pics up in the next week or so, might strip it or sell as a roller. I'm just hanging for the car to get to Adelaide! I haven't driven a quick car in what seems like MONTHS..... Driving to work in the AE feels like I'm slowly dying every morning.... Cheers, Adrian Quote
madaz4 Posted October 4, 2008 Author Report Posted October 4, 2008 Well the KE got here on Thursday. I've had no end of drama's with the transport company, god knows what happened with my car whilst they had it. Couldn't start it in the yard as it had a flat battery and was flooded. Ended up tow starting it with my old mans 4wd. Took it straight to Roberts Wheel Alignment @ beverly, drained the tank and put some 98 octane fuel in. Replaced the tierod ends whilst we had it on the hoist too. Car friggin boogs hard.... I've been driving it for the last couple of days, getting quotes for the things required to get it through regency. This list is slowly shrinking. Can anyone recommend a good auto elec in Adelaide's southern suburbs? I'd work on it myself but am that busy with work at the moment I would end up loosing money to gain the time to do it. Attached is a pic of it parked out the back of work, as well as a pic of the wife's daily. Quote
benzo Posted October 4, 2008 Report Posted October 4, 2008 Nice to see it finally arrived to you. Pretty f@$ked up with the whole transport thing, for what reason would the need to drive it 85km. Are you gonna follow it up? Don't know any auto elec's down south being in the north east suburbs sorry.. Good to see another killer Rolla in Adelaide, oh and you said about a respray, I reckon respray in the same colour. Willow green is the best KE colour :hmm: Cheers, Ben. Quote

Car comp tested fine today though... Just gonna leave it and advise people not to deal with them. Karma will eventually kick their arse! Quote

Raven Posted October 4, 2008 Report Posted October 4, 2008 I deal with a lot of auto electricians through my work who order parts. I can honestly say that out of the lot, I would go for Belair Road Auto Electrical. Speak to Tim as he's the owner and tell him that Michael from Motor Traders put you on to him :hmm: Quote

Patrick Auto Care, shits me too as I've dealt with them a few times when transporting cars between tassie, melbourne and adelaide with my old job. Their Sydney depot must me a joke though.... Quote

Speak to Tim as he's the owner and tell him that Michael from Motor Traders put you on to him  Well starter ate itself yesterday afternoon, so I pushed the car to Christies Beach Auto Electrical, which was round the corner from where I was working. Pulled down the starter whilst I was there and it's cactus. New one should be in by the time I finish typing this. All thats left for regency is a washer bottle, windscreen demister (12v hair dryer) and a small oil leak to fix. Quote
