the Db king Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 from what i can see that is your alt wiring and another plug maby, Quote
greenmac80 Posted September 16, 2008 Author Report Posted September 16, 2008 yeah the grey ones are alternator. the black one i'm not sure of but it goes to the other side of the motor. so i don't know what the frayed ones are meants to be Quote
Medicine_Man Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Lay the loom out a bit more so we can get an idea of where the other wires are meant to go.. Quote
greenmac80 Posted September 16, 2008 Author Report Posted September 16, 2008 will do tomorrow. Â the connection i'm showing come out of a single strand. so they are meant to be near each other Quote
Trev Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 As it has been stated, It is the alternator wiring. Quote
Medicine_Man Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 No, The 3 pin oval plug and grey rubber boot are the alternator wires.. Â There are still more wires.. Quote
greenmac80 Posted September 16, 2008 Author Report Posted September 16, 2008 the black connector was for air con i reckon as it goes to the other side of the motor. but the loose ones have got me stuffed Quote
Trev Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 No, The 3 pin oval plug and grey rubber boot are the alternator wires.. There are still more wires..  Yeah it's alot different to the 16v loom. Quote
Sam_Q Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 you might have to use a multimeter and find out to which pin on the ecu it goes if it does at all, no thick wire will. Quote
Kebin[RL] Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 I believe the chopped plug could be the o2 sensor due to the thicker grey wire in the bunch. Does the grey wire have a shield around the cables? Then you have alternator plug, a/c pressure switch and possibly a speed sensor plug. Quote
greenmac80 Posted September 18, 2008 Author Report Posted September 18, 2008 yeah i believe its the o2 sensor. but now i don know where to get a connector! Quote
