JOEKA Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Just curious to find out if they came out with them? The earlier KEs came out with them...so its got me interested. What are they made from? Does anybody have any close-up piks of any? Quote
JiP Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 You can buy brand new ones from ebay. I don't think they came with them but they were available aftermarket. Quote
JOEKA Posted September 16, 2008 Author Report Posted September 16, 2008 You can buy brand new ones from ebay. I don't think they came with them but they were available aftermarket. You can? I looked, and all i could find where brand new rear venetians... I guess i wasn't trying hard enough. Got a link? Quote
JOEKA Posted September 16, 2008 Author Report Posted September 16, 2008 Just looked again... You sure they sell them on ebay? Quote
JiP Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 It depends on the seller if they have it in stock. Like the rear venitians, that seller only lists them when he has them in stock. Keep an eye out or ask if anyone sees them. Well I couldn't find an old ebay link (so you could send the seller a message) But I found this... http://www.autocables.com.au/ Try using the search function, its amazing what you find :y: Quote
JOEKA Posted September 16, 2008 Author Report Posted September 16, 2008 ohhh yessss, thanks for that... Quote
DouggehKE30 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 I Found one at U-Pull it (wreckers) It was just on the ground. Fits like a charm, I just need another bracket, as i could only find one. My friend also has one on her Datsun Sunny, its exacly the same as mine. Good luck with the hunt Doug Quote
JiP Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 corollaandy has one too I believe. Well he did a while agao. I think he was missing a bracket too. Quote
Trent-KE30 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 I believe they may have been original from factory, my brother bought a overrated KE35 that hadn't been touched and it had a external sun visor and it looked factory. Trent Quote
JiP Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 I do have many original brochures and none of them say anything about sun visors. They, just like venetians, were an aftermarket attachment. Quote
silverra23 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 No doubt you could ask your dealer to fit them before delivery, just like venetians, different radios etc. Quote
JiP Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 I highly doubt that as Toyota had nothing do do with these extras. As said before items like sun visors, door window shields, venetians were items that the owner could have attached or bought through a 3rd party. There weren't many extra's that you could get with the KE3x's. They were pretty budget. The KE55's had more options and the KE70 had even more. The KE55's had more options available to customers like, A/C, FM Radio, 5 Speed, rear swaybar, intermittent wipers and even metallic paints in the update models. Things that were on extra in KE3x's also came stock with KE55's like Demister, clock and am radio Quote
silverra23 Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 They are really no different to the window tinting, paint "protection", gt stripes and a myriad of other things that dealers try to sell you as you sign up for a car. Certainly arent a factory option, but the dealer can have it all arranged and on the car when you pick it up... Quote
Banjo Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 Here's a picture of my KE30 with a sunvisor. Quote
