Does anyone have any dyno-proven power figures for any of their 4AGZE-powered cars? It's just that I've bought myself Lola, a KE55 with a 4AGZE, and I'm wondering about her potential.

In the issue 81 of Zoom magazine there is an orange 4AGZE-powered AE86 with 137kW at the rear wheels, which should be equal to about 240-250hp at the flywheel (at a rough guess). Can anyone better this figure?

Id work on wheel kw/hp figures. Flywheel figures are nothing but a guess unless the engines accually been on an engine dyno. But people seem to like flywheel figures for some reason? Larger numbers inflating their ego???

Relistically, dyno figures should only be a comparitive tool. No two dynos give the same reading. I've had one dyno read 85hp and another 60hp with the identical setup. If you want a big hp figure I can send you to one which will read about 30% over.....

Heh, and that dyno that reads about 30% over (if I'm thinking of the same one) read Pinky the KE55 to be 32hp at the wheels... I wonder what it should have read... 22.4hp??? WOO HOO!!!

dynos are the only way to compare how good your car is compared to everyone else's. kw at the wheels and hp per litre are the true measure of how much better your chosen manufacturer is better than every other manufacturer - surely millions of toymods members and honda fans can't be wrong?

hehe that was not a stock 4agze!!

stock will be between 95-110 kw at the wheels iirc

Firstly, this Sprinter's 4AGZE was definitely not stock (obviously as it is rare for cars with un-tuned motors to make it to the cover of such magazines as Zoom).

Secondly, I do realise that dyno figures can vary quite significantly from dyno to dyno, but any figures would be of interest.

By the way, for those interested, the 4AGZE Sprinter on the cover of Zoom was running the standard SC12 supercharger, with a smaller pulley (not sure which brand) making it put out 0.89 bar of boost. It has an AVO front-mount intercooler, a weird dual throttle body setup to break up the intercooler piping, 365cc injectors, 7MGTE fuel pump, Haltech E6K, and 2.5 inch exhaust.

Iv been trying to find out what the Standard power of a 4AGZE, Have come across a few sites that would help with your Question.

Don't know what the power reading would be from the fly wheel but?

1, Kilo Watt to Horse Power conversion: http://www.mr2ownersclub.com/converter.htm

2, Bill's 4AGE Modified Garage: http://www.billzilla.org/4agmods.htm#145hp

Figured out the 4AGZE standard horse power is around 165HP which is 123KW.

From what iv been reading you can get a 185HP with the Supercharger and Standard ECU.

As we have a Turbo 4AGZE setup with after market ECU and heaps of bolt on upgrades i'm hoping we would make around 200HP = 150KW.
