chester_fb Posted September 12, 2008 Author Report Posted September 12, 2008 the line wasnt blocked, but now i know what the inside of a ke70 fuel tank looks like, it doesnt have any filters or anything at the bottom of the pickup which was kind of suprising Quote
coln72 Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 Had this issue with a facet after my Ke20 sat for a while without being used with an empty tank. It wouldn't pull the fuel from the tank after I refilled it. This pump had worked fine for years before hand so it wasn't the pump or the set up. Even though it was self priming, it didn't have enough grunt to pull the fuel from the bottom of the tank up through the top and back down to the pump while the pipe was full of air. I had to get underneath where my pump was, disconnect the inlet hose and suck fuel manually until it started flowing (tastes like crap). Quickly hooked the pump back up and she was sweet. Reckon if you suck the fuel from your tank so you get rid of all of the air first she'll be sweet. Quote
styler Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 ah yes even self priming / lift pumps usually have a lift distance of 10cm etc but anything above that wont suck fuel and has to be primed manually. Quote
