Gspec Posted December 29, 2008 Author Report Posted December 29, 2008 I'm thinking brilliant orange but i may have to poll it. What do you reckon? ;) Quote
Gspec Posted January 2, 2009 Author Report Posted January 2, 2009 Ok so it took a few days, given the interuptions and such, BUT i finally got some primmer on the machine. While I give it a week or so to settle, I'll start on the doors. Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 The orange sounds good, with some black stripes down the sides?? Quote
Gspec Posted January 2, 2009 Author Report Posted January 2, 2009 Yeah i guess it will have black stripes once i put the factory black trims back on. Quote
white_sandshoe Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Oh, go the orange aye! that'd look so hot! I've seen a mustang in a brilliant Orange with a Burnished Copper or something like that done into the side scallops... it'd look awesome scalloped on the bonnet, or even as subtle GT stripes. Quote
13BT_KE20 Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Unfortunatley he had stacked another car on top of it and caved a roof a little, pushing the front rail down 3 inches, pulling the side rails in an inch and smashing the windscreen. No mods planned as yet, just gotta get it roading first. First thngs first, get the roof schminty, replace tyres, drivers seat belt, bonnet and windscreen.... oh and a good tidy up. I'm interested to know how you plan on getting a roadworthy? Do you plan on getting the rails pulled straight? The car will handle like a bucket of sh#t if you don't, expect to have very uneven tyre wear as well..... Quote

The car will handle like a bucket of sh#t if you don't, expect to have very uneven tyre wear as well..... When i said side rails I ment the roof side rails, so its only minor, no major structral/handling damage. As for road worthy, the car was never officially deemed as a write off, statatory or reparable. Its also completley legal to replace any panel that has been damaged. For a living i cut brand new cars in half, and extend them by 3 meters. We build them to better ratio tolerance than they do factory... So pulling the pillers back to spec and removing the tention was considerabley easy. The car is 100% straight... I wouldn't be painting yet otherwise. Quote
13BT_KE20 Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 oh fair enough, i thought you were refering to the chassis rails..... G/L with the rest of the build Quote
