kpkilla Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 Hey guys i am havn a lil trouble with my stock 4k it wont idle steady it keeps jumping from 900rpm to 700rpm ad is somethines causing itself to stall this is a real problem and makes the car surge wen not under acceleration so pretty uncomfortable i have recently replaced the spark plugs and points any help would b appreciated thanks. As my 4k use to do what your describing. :jamie: If timing doesnt work, losen off the 12mm bolt holding your Dizzy in place and slowly turning it clockwise or anti- clockwise till you hear the motor running smoothly, be paitient coz the difference of a degree can change the idle. when the engine starts running true, then then you shouldnt have a problem with surging. Another thing that could be doing it could be your Mixture is to rich/ lean. have a play is your best bet. :P Quote
