This seams like a good idea i think, and i was wondering if anyone ended up going through with it, i work at a light fabrication workshop so i don't believe it would be that hard for me to do eventually.

 

so if anyone has done it can you give me some specs and photos, cheers

From what i've heard travis it is really only worth it if you want to run twin carbs and need a bit more space

ok, well then it might just have to be skipped then aye, i was hoping it would help because of what teddy said about all the friction of cylinders in the bore. but if thats the only reason why you would do it then its probs not worth me doing it yet.

Even to run sidey's it's a moot issue.

 

I've measured up for my DHLA's and I'll be able to run a unifilter twin carb cage or a pair of ramflo's without any clash. Its sticking 2 inch trumpets on that will cause me grief....

yea, trumpets mmm (reminds me of 4age with trumpets mmm)

 

yea well if anyones got anyinfo on it that they know of about it being worth it apart from more area for carbys

Also i don't see how it will be worth it, also i think you have to change the oil pickup.. not 100% sure

The argument about power gain from sidewall friction has been had. You won't get bugger all power for the muckaround you'll go through.

As said, only really done to fit sidey's.

 

Personally, it would be a similar amount of pain (maybe less), and more gain to fit EFI.

 

I know which I'd do :fuzz:
