ke20red Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 These guys are right bout the prep i have sprayed my 20 with expensive spray cans and it looks the business did a couple of coates in the shed and cost me about70 bucks in quality gloss red cans :) Quote
Doogs Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 though I would imagine they would have used way more than that in sand paper. I reckon so, a hell of a lot of cutting back and buffing. Looks good but you would have to be prepared to spend a fair bit of time sanding/buffing once its applied to get a decent finish. Quote

I Might look into this during summer, on my zuki sierra as it won't be 4wd season and looks aren't really that important haha Quote
Gspec Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 A lot of people are singing the praise of preasure packs... all good but they never fully cure as hard as 2 pack. If you want to go cheap but want a good, hard finish, you can get a tin of single pack enamal paint AND get some 2K hardener, mix them like you would standard 2 pack and the enamal will come up pretty good. The hardener will prevent it from chalkin and fading.... actuallly this will harden more so than 2 pack acrylic enamal. Its not a pro finish but its a great way to practice on the cheap and it sure looks better than preasure pack. :y: :o Quote
