i drive a 2 door ke30, still got the 3k with a side draught webber and extractors. next is exhaust when i have the money free. i don't want a huge increase in horsepower but wouldnt mind a lil more grunt :no2: would it be easier to fit a small turbo (and what size would people reccomend?) or just go to a 4k or 5k? i don't really have heaps of money, space at my house or any of the equipment for engine swap etc.

 

so what does everyone reckon? open to constructive critisim

just go for a 5k it a lot easyer then setting up ya 3k for handel the turbo just my $0.02c tho

yeah i wanted to go 5k intitailly but i don't have access to an engine crane and wouldnt have a clue on where to start with takin the 3k out an puttin the 5k in. would my webber and extractors fit a 5k or not?

reliabilty is the key word here.. A turbo 3k would be heaps of fun to build and play with, but if you don't have the knowledge or skills to work on it yourself when there's a problem you've lost your reliability. Thats why people will always recommend more CC's..

Just give it a shot. Read taz's thread, slap one together, when you put a rod through the block, either put another one in and do it again or have a 4k/5k on standby to drop that in instead!

you don't need a crane, just a strong broomstick and some rope and two dudes.

 

 

alright, havin said that I'm sure there would be a lil bit more involved...

but i get the general idea.

 

anyone know if the extractors i have on the 3k would fit a 5k?

obviouly because its more trouble than alot of people are willing to go thru.

 

5k or worked 4k might be the way to go.

 

anyonle know of someone lookin to get rid of a 5k??

and anyone willing to help a brother out when it comes to the install??

Yeh ive doin it on a 4k, i could offer you some help on how to do it. Currently doing mine with a blow threw carbie set up which is a pain because i have to make custom box for carby but finally got it made up. Its the same setup as taz_rx's. Do you have the turbo? or looking to buy one?
