leigh Posted April 9, 2009 Author Report Posted April 9, 2009 (edited) All starting to come together now! Big thanks to casey for the lend of the engine stand! Picked up my heavy duty clutch today! Had some issues finding one the correct size so had to get one made up in the end as its 200mm instead of the standard 180mm... Some pics! Edited April 9, 2009 by leigh Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 You has 1 week 2 days to get that in running!!! Quote
Taz_Rx Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 .........had to get one made up in the end as its 200mm instead of the standard 180mm... Horse your horse there for a second mate!!! You may be about to make the same mistake I did last year. I'm assuming this clutch combo is for the K-T50? On paper you can use a KMxx 200mm flywheel and a T18/AE71 200mm clutch kit (right spline for T50) and it will bolt up to the flywheel.........BUT, the T18/AE71 pressure plate WILL NOT FIT INSIDE A CABLE OPERATED K-T BELLHOUSING!!!! It fouls on the flat spot where the clutch fork come through. This is the clutch kit you need for the K-T..... http://www.exedy.com.au/SpecSheet.aspx?Spr...heetRowId=39494 Mine is the TYK-6280 HDB button clutch. Quote

Cheers for that Si, But I'm using a standard k50 box for the time being! That popped up cheaper then a T50 at the time so i went for that! Haha ill Try my best dan! Anyone got an engine crane? Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 Ask Casey He might borrow one of Lloyd Quote
Taz_Rx Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 You can hire them from Carey hire on the corner next to maccas. Probably $50 for the weekend. Sorry I though you sms'd engine stand, not crane. Quote

Taz_Rx Posted April 19, 2009 Report Posted April 19, 2009 Yeah it'll run without it, just not the best. I reckon its worth tapping a fitting into the manifold now while you have it off the engine. :jamie: If you don't want to have to buy a tap etc then just take it to ranken and bond on the corner of George and Cimitere and they could do it for you.
