Ah ok, figured that's what you were talking about but just never heard it called that. I just blocked mine off with a plate (at brad's suggestion mind you), and the throttle its cracked maybe 2% and re calibrated. It'll idle a little rough at maybe 800 rpm cold and fine warm at about 1100. If its easy enough to setup on the megasquirt then why not give it a try. You still have it hanging off the manifold don't you?

Yeah I still have it on there but have no plug for it at all. Might have a play around with it oneday.

Played with the Fuel tune tonight. Coming up alright hopefully take it for a drive this weekend :)

Got about 18 degrees in it at the moment aswell

PWM outputs usually only run 2 wire BAC idle valves. The Haltech sprint 500 I put in dads 1600 will only run a 2 wire BAC. But my earlier E6's(k and x) both have wiring to run up to a 4 wire IAC valve.

 

Good to see you've started getting familiar with the software. Anything has to be better than what it had!! In saying that though it did the job in my car if it was driven hard.

Haven't tried playing around with the Idle valve yet, Being working on the tune. How much timing were you running Stu? I hope 18 is alright haha

 

The autotune is pretty good with this ecu, Just need to take it for a good long drive underload. :) Just need to get a laptop where the battery lasts longer then 20 mins haha

Haha been there, but my battery was worth more than a new laptop. Bought a $25 cig lighter charger and problem solved!

Thanks Si, ended up getting a lend of a friends laptop which is meant to last a few hours.So I will get he auto tune running and go for a decent drive either today or tomorrow! :)

Can megasquirt do Autotune on the fly yet?

 

Back when i was playing with it, we had to record the AFRs while driving, then open it into the autotuner program, it would make changes to the tune, then you reflash the ecu and go again. Is this still the case?

I ran around 28-30. You'll notice the dizzy has been ground a little at the end of the adjust slot.

18 Should be ok, timing will depend on dynamic comp etc etc.

Yeah Dave, it autotunes on the fly now which is awesome!!! Then once you are happy with it you just hit the burn button.

 

Haha yeah right Stu, I did notice the dizzy had been ground out abit! Might put some more timing in it when I sort out a few little things! :)
