cuzzo Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 Could you possibly fit some sort of stock steel rim on the with some hubcaps? :jamie: Cause thats all it would need to look like a stock ke20. Quote
KE70-from-mt-panorama Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 Could you possibly fit some sort of stock steel rim on the with some hubcaps? :jamie: Cause thats all it would need to look like a stock ke20. I would also like to see this......then wait for traction. lol. Quote
HIGH ROLLER Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 who needs traction? live life sideways..... :jamie: Quote
oke020 Posted November 2, 2008 Author Report Posted November 2, 2008 haha, believe me i am currently working out how to get a 7-8" rim on the back that will take a hub cap :jamie: here is a crappy skid vid from the photo shoot, the 1600cc injectors and all the stop starting i had to do for the shoot fouled the plugs, they cleaned up ok though once i got some boost going. I was supposed to do a static but there was no way the little fronts were going to hold back the 275 et radials lol. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=Zr_nxWLTNPk Quote
oke020 Posted November 2, 2008 Author Report Posted November 2, 2008 these were my old wheels when i had the 13bt in it :jamie: Quote
manual Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=Zr_nxWLTNPk Awesome ... from his vantage point i see no reason why he couldn't have got some great shots .... but your right, those skinny's had no hope in hell of holding on!! they did give it their best though ... HIGH ROLLER Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 that pic from when it had the 13b is awesome! so if you had to make a decision.....Rotor or Piston??...this will stir some shit.. Quote
oke020 Posted November 5, 2008 Author Report Posted November 5, 2008 don't get me wrong i like rotors, the standard 12a 6 port i had in it originally was lots of fun, once i started trying to push the 13bt though i wasted alot of money in rebuilds, in my experience they are a real maintenance intensive, and rebuild parts alone cost alot of money. Piston engines can be built stronger and are generally more reliable (can't really get much stronger parts for a rotary as yet). In my case instead of using a small capacity highly stressed 4 cylinder as an alternative i decided to go for a 6 cylinder engine. So far its proved reliable and it already makes more power than the 13b ever could and i am not even leaning on it yet |blink| fingers crossed lol Quote
PMP020 Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 sexual machine, sounds epic!! cheers, scott Quote
oke020 Posted December 15, 2008 Author Report Posted December 15, 2008 Drove the ol girl to a local dyno comp on sunday, chucked in some fresh 98 octane, still just running on 16 psi wastegate springs, creeps to 21psi at 8500rpm, netted 516rwhp on a 32 degree day, pretty happy at that :jamie: got to remember the car is hardly running a dyno friendly setup, 4.3 gears, 6k convertor, powerglide etc. No evidence of detonation, probably could of been a bit more agressive with the timing and raised the limiter to 9300 for a bit more but its relatively safe running as it is. So far i am loving the 2jz :no2: Some pics Quote
