As long as you have done other work to the motor like cam, head porting and extractors at least it would be worthwhile

Otherwise just put a single weber with an adapter on your standard manifold

You will find that will be quite adequate on a stock engine

And as far as economy, You will always sacrafice economy for power and if you drive sedatly they are fine

Put your foot down and you pay

Just realised i'm in my wifes log in, i'll change that now

I hope that helps

thanks yeah I'm already running a 5200 holley (32/36 weber) but i don't like it as the way it idles, i plan on getting a "rally cam" off tighe cams and little headwork and already have the tractors  cheers

any pics of just the manifold would be great 2 as i can't find any

I've only got a photo of a sidedraght set up(which i am selling)

So thet wont help if you want to see a downdraght

The other thing is that a single 32/36 weber will provide more than enough fuel for a mild 4k

The only difference with twins will be your responsivness

The linkage setup might be a bit of a nightmare? I'm not sure how they work on the 32/36's, I think there are different types.

I'd probably stick with the single and get some twin dellorto's if I really wanted to up the ante. Do the head work and cam, get it tuned properly and see how it treats you.

try to find a 3kb set up and try that. If you want then adapt the webers to that manifold.

hey try www.trademe.co.nz i no its a New Zealand based auction web site but we always have 3kb twin carb manifolds with cars and linkages on there ready to bolt on. + the bonus to that is if you just bolt 2 factory 4k carbs to the manifold it is going to go overrated and be a shit load cheaper than looking into re-jetting anything to suit ur motor.

yeah man, i got my twin carbie set up, with a whole 4k for 200 bux

Stock twin carbies have smaller jets than a standard single carby. So a little trick is to put 2 stock carbies off a single carby car on a twin cary manifold and you will get more power also.

A guy on here was once running a twin carby mani with 2 Webber's I believe he had a lot of tunning issues. But if your working the motor your crazy not to get a second hand side draft set up.

Cheers

32/36 webber is a little large on a 4K as is, around the 200CFM mark. Now consider a 202(approx 3.3L) old holden motor with a mild cam runs like a dream on a 350CFM holley.

A 4K with 2 webber's and you're hitting 400cfm on a 1.3L motor. This will run a mild 308 or 253 happily.

You want to be in the right flow range to match your motor, with too larger throats you end up with crap all vaccum, and crap torque till you wind it all the way out. Not daily driver material

But some of us just can't get over the induction noise, excessive outside attention & throttle response :sob:
