Ke ping it reals wifey Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 So in true tradition, one car is not enough for us. My cousin is selling his T18 and I have decided to buy it. I have included some pictures which you may have seen before on Andrew's threads. I would like to know what you guys think I can to do make this car hot without spending too much money  Looks like we won't have to spend any money on the body as it's in great nick and no rust is visible. The only problem right at the moment is that the drivers seat is broken and need re welind or something. Anywho, your feedback good or bad is appreciated!!! Cheers Bron Quote

KE ping it real Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 (edited) Not 100% sure as she hasn't actually taken delivery of it yet When we pick it up i'll get her to post some more pics The one thing hers has that mine doesn't is a sunroof  Edited August 16, 2008 by KE ping it real Quote

Also makes it more likely to get rust I believe?! Quote
machg Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 (edited) Definitely more chance of rust, water can settle around the seals, or worse, it can leak. Having said that, the only part of my project ("lazarust") that isn't rusted is the roof! Edited August 16, 2008 by machg Quote

Those ideas have got my vote aswell That Blue T18 is awesome Quote
Taz_Rx Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 +1 for 4A conversion or you could turbo the 3t... +1 for 3ttc!! 3tgte manifold and turbos bolts straight onto the 3t head! Then into a blow through weber. Quote
Ke ping it reals wifey Posted August 17, 2008 Author Report Posted August 17, 2008 (edited) Turbo the 3t might be the way to go seeing as I don't want to spend too much money on it. Does anyone know the possible power output of the 3ttc? Love the blue colour of the T18 you guys posted and am thinking mine might be purple and leave the Blue for hubby and the KE35. Might see how the 4AGTE goes in the KE35 before I make a decision but I would also love to see more pics of anyone's T18'S. Hopefully I can pick it up soon and come on the next cruise....... Edited August 17, 2008 by Ke ping it reals wifey Quote

Ke ping it reals wifey Posted August 19, 2008 Author Report Posted August 19, 2008 Thank you!!! Now I just need to decide what I am going to do with the engine. By the looks of your car, you can give me some pointers on the stereo system to put in? Basically loads of bas and loud works for me :sob: Quote
trav_555 Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 yesss.. if you want to go really good loud clear thats not that expensive then go clarion all the way, my subs are sonys and they go good but i need a bigger amp, get a mono amp and make sure you line your rear speakers up at ear level i can show you when i come down to look at your husbands engine :sob: my speakers are clarion and i only have 2 and they beat my mates 4 mtx 6 inches. i only have 2 clarion 6 inches. ill show you more when i go down  see ya, Travis Quote

I thought it was because it sorta is a seal boot in the ke's. So can one sub sound good in a ke ? Sorry for the offtopic  Where are you guys from ke ping it real and wifey? lithgow? Quote
trav_555 Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 i have 2 subs in my ke70, id say it sounded crap because the sub is worth about 15 bucks (I'm not payin you out or anything mine arnt that expensive) but yeah if you put a clarion ported sub in the back and have the sub facing the back of the car it will be sooo goood, will be loud outside the car and you know that add with the 200 killerwasps thing yea well you hear 200 killerwasps lol. but sounds awesome in the car!! no distortion if you pack your boot with expandable foam like me :sob: see ya, Travis.
