- Door fixed, 1 stuffed hinge+ re-hang = all good, Dukes of Hazard was hillarious yesterday, but would have got annoying really fast.

- Fixed back racing bucket! (ratchet was stuffed, see the welded, broken, rear seat rail mount)

As this car has a couple of months rego, I might as well use it.

- That's better, front and rear ride height more even, hopefully it will ride a bit better too, it was so stiff with the "superlows", fair dinkum, I had motion sickness driving it. (was very easy to get sideways though, LOL.)

Once I have this thing payed off (someone give me some work, LOL) the next thing will be rust treatment and a $100 paint job. I am thinking about using Interlux Brightside Rescue Orange (marine epoxy enamel), thinned down and applied with foam rollers and brushes!

I am happy with ride/handling with the choppies, but the diff looks like it has displaced to the drivers side by about 1-2 cm. Have other people found the same thing when lowering T18s?

panhard rod dude,

as you lower the car the rod pushes the diff towards the passenger side.

 

You will need to get it shortend to match your height, or get a adjustable one

Yeah, that's what I thought, but the diff has gone to the driver's side! WTF? I guess the rod must be horizontal/parallel to the diff at stock height and lowering pushes it past horizontal, effectively shortening the rod. I might borrow a decent jack, hoist her up, remove the panhard rod and lower it to see where the diff sits "naturally", then, if it centres O.K. attached the rod one end only and cut and shut the other.
