Well it has been a very long build process for the owner John which had just included 6 months of extensive body work and paint (since it was damaged in a roll over by peter williamson), Long story short the owner had spent $$$$ into the triple digits to get it where it was and the last stop on its journey was to our workshop as it was meant to race on the weekend, Unfortunatly there was alot of work to complete in just one week so the owner (John) decided that he would just take it out to the track (morgan wark - warwick) to put on show as it was a historics event, He came into work friday arvo and picked the car up and was travelling home to toowoomba before taking it out to warwick when a car drove out infront of him on the notorious plainland/laidley stretch of the warrego highway, From what we know so far is he was doing highway speed (80-100kmh) and a car has crossed the intersection infront of him which he T-Boned into causing the trailer to break away sending the car and trailer into the bushes, I have not seen the car in its damaged state but i am told that it is in very bad shape which is not something the owner would be happy about, If i was in his shoes i would more than likely give up.

All the best to John to try and get the car back to its glory again.

Thats good to hear! Where exactly was the crash? Laidley Plainlands intersection now has a fly over because of its notoriety (I'm still having nightmares about supplying that project ;)) so I guess it was either back towards Hattonvale or further towards Forrest Hill?

I'm not 100% sure, All i know is that it was in the same spot that the tanker exploded a while back, The guy from work that seen the car on the side of the road lives at gatton so it wont be any further than that, I shall find out tomorrow.

Ah yep...that is a shocking intersection too. From what I understand its the next one slated for an overpass but you know how the government flip flops. Most of those cross roads along the warrego have had fatalities within the past few years, some of them more than once.
