Mickey H Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 (edited) I have these struts, but i have no idea what they are from. I need to know so i can get some new rotors. They say 'toyota co' and '13046' on the side, and a sticker on the coil which has 'to8448003' on it I tried a google search and couldn't find anything. They are pretty big, massive compared to my ke70 struts. I'll put some pics up soon. Edited August 9, 2008 by Mickey H Quote
SeptemberSquall Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 ra40 or ra60 struts ? vented or solid discs? overall disc diameter? current disc thickness? minimum thickness printed on the disc? does the attached lower control arm have a lock stopper on it? is the lower control arm the original one (ie. from the same place as the struts?) do you know? do you know what caliper was on it? even have a pic of the caliper? Mickey H Posted August 9, 2008 Author Report Posted August 9, 2008 sorry this is all i have, rotor thickness is 14mm, has one control arm has 'ST 1**' written on it. They might be hilux struts that's all i know Quote
7shades Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 (edited) ST = Corona... I actually have one brand new Corona rotor here that I have no use for, If you can measure yours up properly, I'll check it against mine... if they match you can have it for postage only. No use to me... Edited August 9, 2008 by 7shades Quote
Mickey H Posted August 9, 2008 Author Report Posted August 9, 2008 yeah i would really like to know what they are from, i remeber the previous owner saying 'hilux' something but the lca could be from a corona. as you can see there is only one lca. I also have a steering rack arm from somewhere, ill try and post that up too. Quote
towe001 Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 But aren't hilux a five stud pattern What about cressida ? But anywhat, like SeptemberSquall asked.... vented or solid discs?overall disc diameter? current disc thickness? minimum thickness printed on the disc? And then have a look at dba.com.au for their catalogs and you should be able to get a closer match maybe Quote
dashills Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 do you have a pic of the rear of the strut? Quote
corollaart Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 I'm with the corona struts ,141or 142 vintage  Quote
SeptemberSquall Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 They might be hilux struts that's all i know hiluxes don't have mac strut suspension ffs either wishbone or torsion beam Quote
SeptemberSquall Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 sorry this is all i have, rotor thickness is 14mm, with that rotor thickness they are solid discs yes? they're not #a6# or later celica discs http://www.dba.com.au/2006/PDF_CATALOGUE/C...ue_05032008.pdf ffs just measure them up and start comparing Quote
Crostek Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 I'm with the corona struts ,141or 142 vintage  ST141 stock struts, good if you with to fit MX73 rotors and S13 (slivia) calipers or BA falcon Rotors and R32 GTR (skyline) calipers Quote
Mickey H Posted August 10, 2008 Author Report Posted August 10, 2008 "ST 1*1" is written on the lca, the * is unintelligable, might be a 4. And the rotors are solid, not vented. So i guess they are corona struts, which is good i guess  Now just need some decent calipers and discs and ill be in business. Quote
bLinded_ Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 Hey Mickey, You'd be the bloke from Wagga Wagga building a rally KE/AE yeah? If I have the right person, I do believe I have a spare pair of twin piston 'Rona calipers stashed under my house going to no use which I'd be happy to part with if you want them. They were from a mates XT130 which I then acquired from him only a year or so ago. They might be an ok fit on the ST1*1 struts you have. I don't know how much stopping power your after, but if you want these, send me a PM or something  -Alex Quote
