trav_555 Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 (edited) is it bolt on or if not how different/simple is it to make it fit, i have access to a full sheet metal worksshop but we do not have the tool to make the bends in it but i can weld and lengthen straight bits proffecionally. cheers. its a 2 1/4 " exhaust. edit: will extractors from a ke35 fit my ke70, there off a 4k to go on a 4k. cheers Edited August 3, 2008 by trav_555 Quote
trav_555 Posted August 13, 2008 Author Report Posted August 13, 2008 has anyone had one side by side or something or own both models that they can have a measure and a look for me, it would be much appreciated. cheers Quote
irokin Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 I can almost guarantee it'll need modification. Just get a custom system, it'll only be a few hundred dollars and should fit ten times better than a hacked up KE3x exhaust. Quote
trav_555 Posted August 13, 2008 Author Report Posted August 13, 2008 its comes with an engine package a guy is selling, ive priced a custom exhaust here and its well over 500. don't know if its cause I'm in coffs harbour or not but yeah. Quote
JiP Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 WoW, $500! Thats a bit steep. I paid $330 for the ones on my KE30. But as Ben said, it will need mods. The differant models have differantly shaped bays. Doesn't your KE70 have/come with an exhaust? Quote

Someone has seen you coming from a long way off. Get prices elsewhere. Screwing around to make a 35 exhaust fit would be a waste of time. Buy a new one and never worry about it again. Quote

Well actually Champ I am simply getting rid of the exhaust with the engine as i wont need it anymore, I told him it would most likely need to be modified to fit on but wasn't sure The exhaust component of the engine sale is quite insignificant so i wasn't actually trying to rip him off, i have been 100% honest with all my messages to him and everyone else Besides, the extractors should fit without an issue and i don't appreciate being made out to sound dodgy when i am being the exact opposite Perhaps you should think more about your posts before posting them Edited August 14, 2008 by KE ping it real Quote
Redwarf Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 No, no! I wasn't having a go at you, far from it. I was having a go at the "custom" exhaust for $500. Any offense to you personally as the vendor of the original exhaust, implied or otherwise was not intended Quote
KE ping it real Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 Yeah fair enough Now that you've said that, your post makes more sense All good ;) Quote
camerondownunder88 Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 From my experiments. All K motor extractors from KE2X and up are nearly the same from cylinder head to the collector on the extractors. After that they bend different per car. As My pacemaker 4-1 extractors from the cylinder head to where it goes into 1 pipe is 100% the same from KE1X to KE7X models I was looking in the shop. So if you really want to save cash cut it there and muck about. But as said before a custom system is prob faster to get done less stuffing around for you etc so price elsewhere. Cheers Cameron Quote
trav_555 Posted August 15, 2008 Author Report Posted August 15, 2008 thanks for replys guys, i don't have the money to get a custom one so ill try a modded one first cheers Quote
