Buying Engine..

guys,i got a friend who's about to bought one toyota 4age from ae86,complete with wiring and gearbox. to start the project,i'm sure he'll need a few parts.

so,can anyone list it down?

 

if i'm not mistaken.

1.replace all the belting..wear and tear parts..

 

2. do we need fuel filter?

 

3.about the long shaft,can we re-use the one from k50 gearbox?

 

4.i think we need the cross member? right?

 

5.clutch pump? the whole system?

 

6. fuel pump or need to buy the whole fueltank?

 

7.how aboput steering rack,boot, the whole system? can he use back the standard?

 

more to go...what do u guys think he need?

what car is it going into ?

sometimes you can modify the standard x member, you'l be fine running an aftermarket fuel pump, just have to re-route the fuel lines,

can't tell you much else, because ya havent told us what car its going into.

but id replace anything that can come easily - belts, plugs, filters etc.

his driving a 1980 toyota corolla dx. his mech borrowed him one bosch aftermarket fuelpump..so,any other things to consider?

driveshaft.

diff ? just for strength issues.

 

should be fine using standard steering setup.

so does this means we will have to buy a better front driveshaft or you're meaning the long shaft?

ahh k, just thinking they might be a bit different in size, and with the spline differences ? or are they the same number of splines ?

erm,anyway,what do you guys think of the clutch assembly? i mean the clutch pump..is it available new or can use from other cars?
