SLO-030 Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 um, choppin them i guess. unless you want to focus more on the struts but yea. apart from new lowered front springs thats the only (safe) way id do it. Quote
strola Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 As ke25kid has stated the only safe way is to get new lowered springs. There si a number of bad reasons for cutting, not to mention the spring rate changing, the springs not being encapsulated properly, and shock damage etc the car will not ride correctly and you might find the car heads towards power poles... :) Not advised. Do it properly. It will not cost that much and besides, new lowered springs are covered under insurance, cut ones will void your insurance. Cheers Quote
TE278U Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 coilunders.... refer : http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=22467 not serious.... do not do this.... your car will disobey all input, crash into a family of ducks crossing the road, and you will kill them all and feel sad. then your car will explode in flames and you will die, after feeling sad. that would suck. . . . . . 1JZ~lux Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 There are clamps available to hold the coils in the spring compressed. I think that they are illegal though. Personnally I wouldn't op for cutting or clamping as both are dangerous and for the sake of mentioning it, illegal. And as for that link, god Ihope he was just kidding around, 'cause that just takes stupidity to a whole new level. Quote
