love ke70 Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 ask jon, on the forums as jip-01 looks much like his rims, only not shiny. Quote
JiP Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 Hey, not too sure what the name of these are. I have them on my KE30 sedan and one of my KE55 hardtops... Not painted tho like the ebay ones. AE70 (Des) has similar wheels on his TE72... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=22302 Quote
bLinded_ Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 I run these wheels on my KE70. I am *pretty* sure they are Sigma Turbo rims or something along those lines. Quote
JiP Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Aren't Sigma Turbo rims the turbine looking ones that you see on all Sigma's?? Quote
Budowski Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 (edited) these look like discontinued speedy or CSA rims sold mostly in the 80's maybe flick through some old street machine mags to find the previous supplier or even a dragway brand ? Edited July 29, 2008 by Budowski Quote
JiP Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 I was once told that they were cheap rims that were common. You do see them around, you just have to find them. Quote
coln72 Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Look like a set of chromies - popular in the eighties as they were cheaper than proper alloys. Not many around now as they usually rusted as the chrome was crap. Quote
corolla_nut Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 we have a set of those, 2 of which came off a ke70 about 5 years ago. They are meant to be chrome.... The other two that make up the set we got as payment (along with a carton of tooheys) for telling a guy he had diesel in his ke70 which is why it wouldn't run. I also had two of the same wheels in a 14" diameter which came on the afforementioned ke70. The ke70 looked funny with 14's on the back and 13's on the front. did wonders for handling... Quote

mattress Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 I just picked up a set of those. I'll post pics tonight when i get home. They came with Delta centre caps but i'm not sure if they actually belong to the rims. I'm willing to sell too... Quote
h1_roll4 Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 my mates got them on his gemmi, no idae what they are Quote
78_7kRolla Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 yes, i think they were the 70's and 80's versions of cheap aftermarket rims. I still see heaps of them on boat trailers although they are mostly finished in a grey/silver colour. Quote
dashills Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 hey dishedra, to your wheels Q they are speedy rim but sorry they have been discontinued Quote
