parrot Posted April 19, 2009 Report Posted April 19, 2009 Well I am a very happy boy this weekend. Wandered along to Pick pay n Go in Ringwood and found a complete KE25! It sure as hell aint complete now. I raped the shit out of it at the number six dance. Late model auto. Body is very poor but most of the trim was excellent. Essentially most of the interior/exterior trim is now gone, all glass, bonnet, grille, under grille trim etc. Instrument cluster, auto console and all mechanicals remain. Doors (stripped), bootlid and guards are shot. There was also an AE82 twin cam hatch in the carpark presumably for sale that looked half reasonable whilst glancing at it walking past. Quote
parrot Posted April 19, 2009 Report Posted April 19, 2009 Yes I was well pleased. For the first 10mins I went around and around it not knowing where to start. Got all the bits I was missing, and as usual, when you roll up at the window with a wheel barrow full and a rear seat bottom on top, the guy doesn't get off his seat, so it went real cheap too..... parrot Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 nice! i went down there today (yesterday) with a mate and we saw the same ke25. it has a 3K-H which i think is japanese spec emissions regs? You were the guys who got into the KE20 and went down Warrigal rd? I was going to stop for a chat but had to get to a 5 year old's birthday party before my wife got too narky. Quote
KEhendo Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 yeh, that was me driving. my mate has a ta22 and we where chatting to some of the guys off toymods who where there. what car where you in? Quote
parrot Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 (edited) I came down to suss out how accessible the clutch hard line was on the TA22 while you guys were chatting, before chugging off in the blue Renault parked opposite you guys. Actually initially came for that line, forgot all about it once I saw the KE25 Edited April 20, 2009 by parrot Quote
KEhendo Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 so that was you. i was going to say something but then you disappeared. now i remember there was three early hubcaps (the ones with the rings) in the boot of the ke25 and four of those thin trim rings that go in between the hub cap and the rim if anybody wanted them. can't remember the condition but i think some of them where alright. Quote
parrot Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 Yes the hubcaps and trims were good. The car looked as if it had been standing in long grass as it was badly rusted underneath and around the base unfortunately. Quote
kangaroosa Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 I was at Centre Road wreckers on the weekend and noticed that two of the AE** cars had strut to firewall braces if anyone was in the market for one. I think one was a AE92 and the other was AE80. Just going by memory from the chassis numbers in the firewall. Quote
hitoriko Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 ashleys in sunshine has a ae8x twin cam (i took a short motor) but the head and acc are there - also a couple ke70's Quote
parrot Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Very quick visit to Centre Rd today. Nothing new on the KE front. There was a smallport 4AGE there that looked fairly unmolested. Quote
Bowler Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 Wreckers on Baccus March Rd, Corio 2 KE36 windowed panos - 1 missing a tailgate and rear glass, one with a k50 (asked, apparently they're chasing 150 for it), bodies are rooted on both... 1 KE55E Sedan, without factory aircon (score!), dash pretty average, a few fittings and fixtures still avail. 1 KE50 Sedan, errr...bits and pieces still there, but didn't tax much from it 1 RWD Mazda 121 coupe...pretty cool looking ride, body seemed alright too, outside of the fact it was sitting atop another car...
