madmax7 Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 (edited) hi guy i thought i might put up my little project i was going to stop racing but i just love corollas and love working on them its a ke30 with a 3k motor witch i am currently building and i am reconditioning my car respraying it panel beating just the usual stuff plans: MOTOR: bore out 60thou, ive got mahle pistons and rings brandnew, and acl bearings cam mains bigends and small ends, new bolts conrods main and camshaft, cam shaft regrind ive been doing a bit of research but still haent decided thigh do a speedway grind but unshore of the specs going to try and find out tomorrow, I'm going to run 3k bigport head and manifold going to tune the carby for the motor and get a tuned exhaust for it. CAR: respray it, fiberglass panels polished dash rewire it and need a set of 13" mags any sort new suspension and cut out as much as i can to make it lighter thats my plans so far Edited September 4, 2008 by madmax7 Quote

madmax7 Posted July 22, 2008 Author Report Posted July 22, 2008 made an engine stand on the weekend and started to paint the rollcage but ran out of paint so need to mix up some more and get some more thinners so yea. MOTOR wise block currently in the work shop getting bored out 60thou getting a good wash and getting the cam bearing pressed and hes cleaning up the crank. ive got a full acl gasket set acl cam bearings acl main and rod bearings and mahle pistons rings and gudgon pins and a timing chain. tomorrow I'm going to put a shim in the oil pump to get more pressure pick up the block paint it blue put the breaings in crank pistons then when i find out a good cam grind ill take the cam down to get regind then wack that in then finish of the bottom end. then start working on the top end. new pics up tomorrow Quote
madmax7 Posted July 23, 2008 Author Report Posted July 23, 2008 (edited) ok today i pick up my block i got it bored out 60thou face shaved cam bearings pressed in and cleaned up. and on the weekend I'm going to put it all together. and i might be going to run a standed cam heavy duty springs a 2.220 second gear gearbox with a 4.4banjo gearbox here are some pics of it. madmax7 Posted July 26, 2008 Author Report Posted July 26, 2008 allright today i got stuck into my motor i got the rods the same weight and the pistons were the same weight witch help and i got the crankshaft in pistons and cam the timing chain and the timing cover now i just need to buy two welch plug and put them in and put a shim in the oil stuff to get more pressure and put all that in and put the sump on then ill have a bottom end then start working on the top end. i can't do anymore tomorrow as i have to go out all day tomorrow so yea that sucks.
