white_sandshoe Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 hey guys, just want to know how many litres my tank holds, so that i can work out my litres to km thanks :( Easy way to work out how many litres per km... Fill her right to the brim... run around 100km, then refill... the amount that fits into the tank is what you've used to do that distance. For example... I fill the tank of my T18 and drive 120 kms... I then refuel (noting that my tank isn't anywhere near empty... it's only down about a third...) I fill her right to the top, just as i did the first time, and note that i've put in 15.58 litres... then simply take the number of kilometres (120) and divide by the litres used (15.6ish) and it gives you the kilometres per litre... in this case around 7.7km/L Quote
Raven Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 its a 40L-45L tank. I don't have my workshop manual here to tell you how many litres it is exactly though. Quote
13BT_KE20 Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 all i know is its small enough for me to plan out my cruise routes depending on where BP servos are Quote
Ke20 King Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 quite sure mine in my ke20 was a 30L tank Quote
JiP Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 One way to find out, run her empty and calculate how much fuel you put into it. Quote
mitch4397 Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 altho my manual/guide book says 45L's, my car always fills 30L's.........its baffled me the past few weeks :) glad this was brought up Quote
Budowski Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 45 sounds like alot but ive had the tank out of my ke20 and it looks as big as 2 20L gerry cans together. I usally got about 600km range from my tank and the most i ever put in it was 35 litres. Quote
KEhendo Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 i know mine is over 41L cos i just filled it up with 41.6L the needle was below E on the fuel gauge. just looking in the owners manual and it says 45L and when the needle is touching E there is 4L left in the tank. Quote
mitch4397 Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 to the E!!! damn. I don't let the needle drop below the last line on the gauge. My 20 gets a lil rough as it starts to pickup crap from the bottom of the tank..., any1 else run theirs to the E???? Quote
Raven Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 Crap from the bottom of a tank is a myth dude. Your fuel filter would soon filter out any dirt and/or rust if it was to suck it up. Quote
KE70-from-mt-panorama Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 I ran my ke25's tank past the E once, still only took about 36-37L so i assumed it was a 40L tank. Quote
JiP Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 Could it be that the KE20 & KE25 tanks are different?? Like I know that the KE26 would be, or are they the same just like the KE30 & KE35 are?? Quote
