Camo88 Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 (edited) Alright guys so since gettin my rolla back after some inconsiderate people stole it and thrashed it i have been debating to keep it or not... it has a bit of damage and ill try and get some pics up a bit later on tonight. I'm guna need a new front bumper, possibly a new bonnet. there is also a hole in the guard behind the rear left wheel from when it blew. is it possible to replace the panel or will it require a fibreglass/cut & weld job?? any other ideas while I'm at it?? and it may take a while cos I'm a bit strapped for cash atm, hence y I'm contemplating sellin it. cheers guys Edited July 15, 2008 by Camo88 Quote

U-Pull-It is your friend in a time like this :( yeah see i aint the most mechanically minded person out there but yeah I'm guna have to ring around and see if i can find the bits and pieces. fitting the bumper n bonnet should be easy its jus the hole behind the wheel that has me bothered. and I'm glad they didnt smeg the engine either. good thing the k engines are tough as nuts Quote
godlovesugly Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 its probably not worth selling it how it is. try and fix it yourself, you'll learn some skills and ladies love guys with skills Quote
JiP Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 Hey, sad to hear it was stolen but great to see you have it back. I'd say keep it. These cars are too rare to chuck away and once done up can be a real head turner. As for the damage on the bonnet, try getting it repaired. That's an early bonnet and they are extremely rare. I've had mine repaired after my crash and the damage was far worse than yours. Before... After... Quote

After... hey where bouts did ya get it repaired and how much it cost ya? yeah iv decided to keep it, iv wanted one for too long just to get rid of it. once i get all the body work sorted i wana start hunting for a 5k or a worked 4k just to give it a lil bit of go Quote
JiP Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 Basically I bought a replacement bumper & grille shipped up from Adelaide, then the guard and apron from the local wreckers. The bumper gill costed me like around $100 shipped up to Brisbane while the guard/apron I think was around $60/$70. The panel work tho was around $500 as they had to charge to remove the bumper, panels, grille, light, straighten the radiator support panel, straighten the bonnet then put everything back on. Quote

JiP Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 Cause they must know that most Charades are 3 cylinders and very SLOW. Quote
xstatic Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 corollas aren't slow???? so what are ur plans for this car?? scott Quote
Camo88 Posted July 18, 2008 Author Report Posted July 18, 2008 nah man rollas are BEASTS! I'm thinkin 5k and k50 just to give it a lil bit more go, but i don't have the funds to go 4age or 4agze or anything like that. although that would be sweet. just a set of jellies or centrelines, lower it and an exhaust. well thats the plans for the near future anyways. who knows what the future will hold aye.
