Well, what about YOU, what about what YOU want, and what YOU need? Why does what YOU need have to come second? If you want to and need to resign, then type up the letter, work out the notice and hand it over! Why should you be apprehensive/worried/afraid, if it's what you want, resign, what is the worst thing that could happen? Your boss gets upset? well after a week you'll never have to see them again! Lesley :(

Lesley |blink| I'd have to say I'm pretty indispensable to the my company right now, I'm the only draftsman/design engineer in the Newcastle office, the other one left probably close to 3 months ago now and they still haven't been able to find a replacement who knows the software we use, let alone could pick up our database system quickly...

All i did was live to work and i was indespenseable until the american company had a take over 12 months before and now my team and the rest of australia was made redundant. Myworkplace hated the fact i was going and was scared of all the things they now were required to do having no klowledge of the motor repair industry what so ever. I was offered a position to go with the privatised company that was taking over the service division, but if i took it i would be out of a redundacy payout for some insane reason. So 12 months on and after being asked to go back several times I'm very happy being a toyota mechanic and not being incharge anymore. My advice is shove it up em and start shopping you may not find the right job 1st up but it will come and ull wonder what all the fuss was about.

Yes, but it's not YOUR problem (unless you own the place), the management shouldn't put pressure on you so you feel bad if you leave (because of what ever reason) in our shop, we all know what everyone elses main responsibilities are, so that in a pinch, someone else can fill in long enough for us to find a replacement. If you're the only one who knows, you should hit them up for a pay-rise!!!! :)

JiP Posted November 6, 2008 Author Report Posted November 6, 2008 Had the tests done today. I ran my heart out. So much so that i was covered in sweat by the end. Then afterwards while i was waiting in the waiting room for my results when i began having chest pains. Yay! :) So the test didn't catch anything.
