Tume Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 Got woken up by dad last night telling me that today I wasn't going to school, and that he had managed to get some free all access passes so we could have a father son bonding day. So ended up going to the Clipsal today!! Had to go home before the concert though because he was feeling sore, he has back problems so I'm not about to start complaining.
JiP Posted March 20, 2009 Author Report Posted March 20, 2009 I know its a 50 litre but from F to E is 40.
towe001 Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 Got the lancer back :y: But i had to drive the slug back home. For some reason the boot popped open and it wouldn't shut. On the way home finely had a bit of excitement from it when i took a right hander hit a few bumps and the arse end jumped out of line and started sliding a little, put my foot down a little and for once the bucket of junk had some power to pull the thing back in line.
SoulSearcher Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 clipsal was AWESOME!!!!! corp box was fantastic!!! although I slummed it with hubby in the grandstands :y: had an absolute BLAST! the last race was my favourite! Jim Richards in a valiant (or maybe ford galaxie) fanging around the track, got white flagged, taken off for a lap and then fought back for 8th spot! I was quite vocal, and had so much fun.... oh, there was a clipsal chick in the corporate box, she was a bit of a dog, but her boobs were hanging out (had to add that for the boys) oh, and she had her bellybutton pierced, and she was a bit of a boag, BUT the waitress (who supplied the FREE food, drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic)) was a hottie! And it was AIR CONDITIONED!!! Oh, and I got a cool free park within easy walking distance from the entry gate!!! Oh! and NO sunburn!!!
Lexxi[ke35] Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 Went to the skate park last night [as we do every saturday night] and the funniest [yet potentially fatal] thing happened. One of my friends went up a big flat bank and stalled on the box up the top and was heaps happy with himself because he'd been trying to do it all night, and as he started going down the bank another friend was going as fast as he could to get up the bank and noticed a little too late that he was heading straight for the other guy. They collided VERY hard. It was the funniest thing coz as they crashed their arms and legs flew in the air and intertwined and they landed on the ground wrapped around each other. One of them had a saw jaw and the other's head was bleeding, but amazingly the one with the bleeding head kept going for another hour trying to get that stall again [which he didn't] and the other stopped although he had had a few other injuries before the collision. AND then the one with the bleeding head's ex girlfriend came to say hi [she's still a good friend of all of ours] with her new boyfriend and he has the biggest pink mohawk its just absolutely ridiculous. It's like probably about 50cm long, maybe more. Its ridiculous. And Eddy got a parking ticket so all in all it was a pretty crap night.
Rich_Rolla Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 I may or may not have blown the clutch on my mates bike.
orangeLJ Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 spent a couple hours yesterday working on the street stocker (speedway car) with my old man. Managed to get the engine and box all in (using VK K frame to fit the straight 6 into a VS calais eneine bay) I just wish we had the hoist back up and running! doing things on the ground is hard(er) work! Went on a twincam.org cruise on the weekend (AE9X chassis) and Karlies corolla- We had a wicked day and some really fun driving roads too! Bonus points were that the corolla didnt play up all day, drove like a dream and for one of the only NA 16 valves, definitely held its own!
Lexxi[ke35] Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 That looks wicked with all those exactly the same cars together :P
orangeLJ Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Also had an R33, 2 silvias a suzuki chino turbo (spelling?) and an AE112. So all in all a pretty good day! only had a few incidents, one bloke had a wheel bearing seize, another blew a HG on his 20 valve (smokescreeeeeeen!) and the cops turned up at one stage. But other then that, no dramas! And for a corolla based cruise, everyone wanted to know why I didnt bring the torana!
Kid-Ae Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Looks wicked :P WOO i got 92% on my Business Management SAC Today :hmm:
towe001 Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 When i got to work the first thing up i had to do was move some 25 litre drums, i throw what i thought was my back out. At first i thought it was a muscle on my right side just under my ribs. Got home after work and asked the other-half to give me a massage and low and behold she started digging and rubbing my right side and i almost went through the roof when she put the lower rib back in place and started working on a muscle
7shades Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Tell me about it... I lift shit all day, and after a good pummelling and re-aligning I stand about 10cm taller :P
Trev Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 And for a corolla based cruise, everyone wanted to know why I didnt bring the torana! You better not be trying to aggravate anyone!!
KE70-from-mt-panorama Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 My omg as of late was that i got accused and questioned over a break and enter on saturday night. Was parked near the building talking to a mate and the cops turned up as we were leaving. Pulled me over later in the night. Had me standing in the cold for like 45mins while they asked me questions. They didnt believe my story, And no i didnt do it. Havent heard anything else from it so far, Which is a good sign.
