Went to the doctor, found out it was some allergic reaction [and we can't figure out what to] and he gave me medication for it. Woke up this morning, it had started again. Took more pills, its gone :P Let's hope it doesn't happen again coz I'm all outta pills :( probs dust in bed maybe? change sheets and vacuum matress and flip it and re vacuum, dunno, hope it stops  my omg found a cool girl, stayin at hers sat night and project car is almost stripped and ready for 4age, all thats left is dash... need some new seats though... as current ones smell like smoke.. Travis
orangeLJ Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 As long as they're not native rodents, or birds, or reptiles... Here's a solution: Kill the cat. nope. field mice. Better she caught them, then they get in the house. as a rule of thumb she is usually scared of anything larger (she got chased by the local flock of cockatoos) But If she was to kill something native (marsupial, mammal or reptile) Then she would become an indoor only cat. Closest thing to a native she almost got was a dove, stupid thing sat and watched her run across the road and didnt move. She launched at it, the dove flew away, I'm running after her to stop her, and she managed to get her paws onto it, pulled a few feathers, but it got away. I was just shocked that it was so dumb. Hey Lexxi, Could also be from your diet, something you are eating/drinking in small amounts or daily that is having the reaction. Have you changed your diet? been in contact with different grass or plants etc? itchy rashes suck, I was prescribed amoxicillan for tonsilitus when I actually had glandular + viral tonsilitus, the amoxicillan reacted with the glandular virus and I ended up with a closed throat and the itchiest rash I have ever had, all over my body. If it hangs round, might be worth going to a specialist for some allergy testing.
Lexxi[ke35] Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 The strange thing about it is nothing about my diet or any other part of my life has changed at all. Its odd. Hasn't come back today but if it does we're gonna do the allergen tests. It's wierd coz I've never been allergic to anything in my entire life and this randomly appears. Heaps annoying, especially when its in places you can't really scratch in maths... lol na it should be alright, we're keeping an eye out for things that might've caused it.

towe001 Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Found out today from one of the delivery drivers that some of the business that we supply products to have been cutting back on their staff. One of the places has cut back about 2 thirds of their employees..... Not good, not good at all.....
orangeLJ Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 10% accross the board at my work, thats 100+employees across australia. Not a whole lot in the scheme of things, but enough to worry about.
Hiro Protagonist Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 We've got a freeze on new employment here, which isn't good because we're looking at shifting into production mode (still in development now) in a couple of months time, and we need to get new people in here as soon as possible to get them trained and up to speed on the vehicles. But until the first vehicle rolls out the door, we won't be making money. And the freaking engine management system that we were supposed to have completed for us by a not-to-be-named Queensland company 2 years ago is still not 100% complete (in dyno-testing phase at the moment)
orangeLJ Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 what are you guys building? I know its mining related, but what field? I'm assuming with the amount of devel. work that its for underground mining and fairly high tech? so you guys are re-creating the wheel with engines? cummins no help? or are you running a self designed power plant?

LHDs primarily, although we'll be looking at personnel carriers once we get back in the black. We're modifying Atlas Copco hard-rock vehicles for coal use, plus upping the powerplants to improve tonnage capacity (turning 7 and 10 tonne AC machines into 10 and 13 tonne machines) CAT C7 engines, but with a custom engine management system, underground coal vehicles are extremely sensitive when it comes to emissions and flameproofing.
